Folder Options is not visible

If Folder option is missing from tools menu

Many times Windows users face a common problem. The "Folder Options" in "Tools" menu is not visible. Even It can't be accessed from Control Panel.

Method 1

1) Click "Start" Button
2) Select "Run"
3) Type "regedit"



4) Navigate Cursor to the following Key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer

5) After Pointing the System, Check in the right pane, whether a DWORD value named NoFolderOptions Exists or not? if Exists Delete it.


Method 2

1) Click Start --> Run -->Type gpedit.msc in the run field

2) Group Policy settings windows should open

3) Under the "User Configuration", expand the fields Administrative Templates --> Windows Components --> Windows Explorer

4) Search in the Right Side Pane for Remove Folder Options Menu item from the Tools Menu and select Disable.

5) Restart the System.
